May 2009 recap.....

Lots happened around here this month, although it was calm compared to April! Going away parties for a few friends, command events and lots of "end of school" activities! Ashleigh's report card came the other day, and she passed Kindergarten with flying colors. Perfect scores in everything, all year! We're so proud of her!
Here's her school pics:Fall 2008

Aiden finished the year wonderfully too (with only one trip to timeout the whole year....for "boxing" after Daddy let him play it on the Wii!). He loved school and misses it already. We're gonna go visit the kids at the summer program this week, so he can say hi!
Here's his school pic:

I've been scrapbooking alot this month (see the next post) and Erik has been attempting to heal his foot some more. He goes in on June 10th for an MRI, and hopefully he'll get some answers then. I'd really like to see him play ball some more (it does his mind good) and be able to ride his motorcycle too! This week brings some fun MOMS Club events, and hopefully a fully painted bathroom--I hope to tackle it, as well as selling the rest of the yard sale pile, and mowing the yard too! A bit overly ambitious maybe, but I hope not! Gotta order a new bed too....we sold the other one (a bit quicker then we wanted to), and now we're back to camping for a few more days! It's been adventurous for sure!!

Off to veg in front of the tv for a few and then scrap a little more! I have been on a roll!

31 days, 31 layouts.......CHECK!

I survived! There's been a few crazy days toward the end of the month here that I've considered dropping out.....but at the last minute, and once while crammed in the teeny tiny back seat of an SUV in the pouring rain, I managed to get everydays layout submitted! Here's a snapshot of them all in one (and today's layout):
Here's a link to larger images of them (you can scroll through too, to see them all!):

I love this challenge and can't wait to participate again! You can follow Lain Ehmann's blog at http://knitandpurlgrrl.blogs.com/scraphappy/ to see when the next challenge is coming, if you'd like to participate too!

I was also able to get lots of paper pages done this month too! I did several at the Nat'l Scrapbook Day crop at the beginning of the month, 3 yesterday at our Navy FRG crop, and about 20 done here at home this month! It's been great fun!

Ok.....off to write a recap post of our month. It's been a busy one, although not as busy as last month! (and luckily everyone's been healthy until this week!)

Missed a few days.....

Things got a little crazy around here this week...Erik was out of town for work, and I was attempting to hold down the fort again. It was all good except for Ashleigh's rough days at school....I'm hoping that its a phase that centers around the end of the school year, being 6, and it being rainy, hot and muggy here lately. I did get my Layout a Day done each day, and a few other projects too (can't show you them yet tho)!
Here's my LOAD pages for the last few days...

I really need to start printing my layouts....or uploading them to get bound into books. I have so many digital layouts on my hard drives and only a smidgen of them printed. My problem I think is that I want them printed in chronological order, but I don't want to invest the time in putting them in order before I upload them. Oy. Someday right?

Ok....I'm off to a scrapbooking class with Ashleigh. It's gonna be a fun one!! One of my best buds is teaching the class and several of my scrappin pals are gonna be there with their girls too!

I hope everyone has a great day! Thanks for looking and reading!

Day 4....a little more involved....

This layout has a few more layers, and took a little more time then the last 3. But, I love the way it turned out and I'm so glad its the last Welcome Home page that I have to scrap for a few years! Shore duty is our friend!

My household duties are calling my name, so I guess I had better get busy! I need to get a shower, some laundry done, the dishes put away, and a couple packages mailed....here's hoping one arrives in time for Mother's Day!
Hope you all have a great day!

Day 3....on a roll!

Here's my 3rd digital layout this month:

Yesterday's National Scrapbooking Day Crop was an AWESOME success! I got about 40 cards made (using nothing but scraps), 12 blocks covered with paper and letters (teacher gift), 4 layouts for the Scrap Shack, and to top the night off, I won the GRAND PRIZE!!!!
Here's a pic of it:
It's a rolling Fiskars tote stuff full of Fiskars and Cloud Nine goodies! I wish I'd have bought a lotto ticket last night...it was my LUCKY day appearantly! There were 138 tickets in the basket (yes, I counted) and there were only SIX with my name on them......one of those was the lucky one!! (The mathmatician in me says that I had a .043 % chance in winning......that's really not a very high number......but it paid off!!)

Now I'm off to unpack, do some more laundry (4 loads already today..its sheet changing day), and get a shower! Then maybe I'll work on the last project I had planned to get done yesterday (and didn't)!

I hope that everyone (all 3 readers I have) is having a great day!

I'm off to a National scrapbook Day all day crop, so needed to get this one done early! It was definitely a MESSY day on Christmas, and todays LOAD prompt was to scrapbook the chaos......so I did!! Now I'm off and running. I hope you have a great day!
